MOOD TRACKER

This was a fictitious, individual school project. The goal was to create and design a

Mood tracking app that lets the user input their everyday moods, keep a pattern and see how it’s affecting their productivity. The user has to manually input the moods while the app calculates and gives a weekly or monthly report, depending on the user’s preference.

Role : ​Research, Concept & UI Design.


Tools used : Figma, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Premier. 

User research

User research was conducted using online survey and personal interview of working professionals.

User Persona

are created from the user research and are essential in helping the app to meet the needs of the user.

Scamper

Scamper was done on the app, Reflectly. It is a journal and a mood tracker app, widely used in the USA. Scamper is a technique that helps explore new possibilties in design thinking.

User flow

User flows are created to understand how users navigate and behave.

Typography

Nexa is the primary typeface used in this project.

This app makes the mood entry fun and colourful. Users can edit stickers or add more moods.

The user can select up to 5 tasks based on the mood they selected.

Mood chart will be generated by the end of the month. To see the sticker grow fully, the user will have to enter moods time to time.
